Chef Colleen Yaeger-Kriebel

My name is Colleen Yaeger Kriebel, I have been baking since high school, so about 22 years now. I started out in the Culinary Arts/Baking program at Central Montco Technical High School Norristown, Pa. I quickly became involved in some baking competitions in class and I really enjoyed this! Competitions are part of a school program called VICA Skills USA. (Vocational Industrial Clubs of America) Advancing on to the district level baking competition, I took 1st place! The next level was the PA State Baking competition and I won that too! With that win, I received a bunch of scholarship offers from culinary schools all over America. I moved on to the National level Baking Competition and placed 14th out of 54 students. After that experience I decided to take advantage of the scholarships and went to study at the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park NY. At the CIA, I was able to earn my Associate Degree in Baking and Pastry Arts, Alumni 2001.
After graduation from the CIA I started to gain my baking experience in the field through catering, hotels, restaurant a la cart service, substitute teaching at the tech school for the Baking program, managing American and French style bakery's and so on. I have really found my passion as a cake designer. Life has lead me to start my own custom cake business. In 2011, I started small by renting space in a commercial kitchen in Wayne, Pa. I had a custom refrigerator made, a tiny 12 quart mixer, and a ton of passion to sell custom cakes to the world! Then, for about a year or so, I made my cakes and sold them out of Via Veneto's pizzeria in Norristown. My next move was into Eagleville where I have opened my store front location in 2013 The business has grown so much over the past few years by word of mouth and the Facebook page that we recently expanded with the addition of a BAKERY FOOD TRUCK!
I could not have done any of this alone. I am truly thankful for the support of my loving husband, all of my family, the McKeon family, the entire crew and family of Via Veneto's, my Chefs from tech school, my staff and God. I have made it all this way thanks to all of their help and support and love over the years!
The sky is the limit when you order cakes with us, anything you can imagine, we will create. I like to compare our style of decorating to "ace of cakes" and the "cake boss".
